In Crochet, Finished Pieces on November 3, 2009 at 2:06 pm

Decided I;d make some more blankets for my son as it’s cheaper than buyin them ready made. I got this pattern off Ravelry, think it’s turning out well …

  • These toys took little time, most from online patterns, some from magazines, but the octopus … i made that pattern 🙂
  • My son loves them 🙂

  • Before making the tams I originally tried to crochet the hats as it was much quicker, but my tension with crochet is all wrong as i generally only make granny squares and toys when crocheting.
  • It turned out like putting a dustbin liner on your head.
  • At least my son took a liking to it I suppose 🙂 !

  • Not so sure about this one yet, planning to do 9 of theses squares attached together and border them with the bright blue.

  • Did like this till i got a few rounds further and found the blue and white were just too much of a contrast to make what could be a stunning blanket live up to its standard.

  • Think this one is lovely, just need a bit of work on making it a bit sturdier so that all the flowers dont fold up, was thinking of a row of granny squares around the border.

  • A christening Present – 20 little granny squares joined together with a lovely shell border round the edge.

  • For my son – a whole ball of robin DK in the middle, nearly a whole ball of cream around that, a shell border in brown after, and finally a border of single crochets around the edge of the border, it’s super soft 🙂 i love this one.

  • Excuse the blurry photo, my son decided he was going to climb on top of the blanket just as i was taking the photo so I ended up giggling.
  • Took me a couple of months to complete but looks lovely, fits perfectly on the back seat of his mk1 golf 🙂
  • Also just the right size for the back seat of a mini!!
  • If anyone wants the pattern for the lovely puffy centre to this granny just let me know 🙂
  • Was so enjoyable to make 🙂 really proud of it.
